Dr Karissa Graham is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon who consults privately from the rooms of AR Plastic Surgery.

Qualifications and Training

Dr Karissa Graham is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon who completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours Biology with Distinction) in Canada before pursuing her medical degree in Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the The University of Queensland in 2011 and went on to undertake extensive specialist surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In January 2025, Dr Graham was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Plastic Surgery. She is committed to delivering personalised care and achieving natural, balanced results for her patients.

Scope of Practice

Dr Graham’s clinical practice includes:

  • Skin cancer excision and complex reconstruction (including grafts and local flaps)
  • Breast cancer reconstruction (immediate and delayed)
  • Reconstructive surgery following trauma or oncologic resection
  • Benign lesion removal (e.g. lipomas, naevi)
  • Laceration and complex wound repair

Current hospital affiliations

Dr Graham is affiliated with a number of hospitals across Queensland and currently holds a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) position at:

  • Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital – contributing to the Breast Reconstruction and Skin Oncology services.

Throughout her career, Dr Graham has also practised in leading hospitals across Queensland, from Cairns to the Gold Coast, gaining extensive experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery
